Hot Fall Trend: Ruffled Shoes

Ruffles-3 copy

One of the hottest trends for fall is shoes adorned with ruffles. Cascading tiers of ruffles, ruffled edging, ruffles along the vamp, the heel, oh, let's face it, they went crazy and ruffles are everywhere!

It's nice to add a little feminine touch to a severe suit. If you're feeling a little flirty one day, you can let your shoes do the talking, even in jeans.

Ruffles comes in all price points The super cute flat is from Target ($24.99). The grey pump is Liliana from Hush Puppies ($95), and you can find it at Macy's. The sexy maroon pump with the velvet ruched bow is Christian Louboutin- The Lady Page Velvet- Bow Pump ($995) at Neiman's, natch! Love that sexy purple pump? It goes by the name of Koture Ruffled Peep-Toe by Fioni ($24.99) at Payless. The itty bitty bootie is Cuddles by Steve Madden ($149) at Lord & Taylor. The sexy ivory stitched down ruffled bootie is from Pour La Victoire ($285), presently living at Piperlime.com, and the sexy D'orsay pump known as Risky ($365)from Elizabeth and James, lives there too.

So you can see, no matter what your budget is, there's a ruffled shoe just for you.

Will you wear a ruffled shoe, or won't you? Do you like the trend?

Growl! Animal Prints Are On The Prowl For Fall

What was once a hot trend is now a fashion staple. Animal prints like metallics are here to stay. Pardon the pun, but you don't want overkill when wearing animal prints. A head -to- toe look is going to make you look like a crazed animal warden.

How can you wear the style without looking Halloweeny? One item per outfit is a good fashion rule to follow.

Here are two good examples of how you can wear it

Animal copy On the left is a Fendi  Fur Peekaboo Tote in a leopard print ($2,950). On the right is Forever 21 Chenille  Coat ($27.80).

You can see by these two examples that the style is all over the price range. You don't have to beggar yourself to look chic.

When it comes to fashion, remember that presentation and of course, attitude is everything. It's how you wear it, not how it wears you.

Happy shopping!

Guess Who Shops at Wal-Mart and Target?? C'mon Guess

Think you're too hotsy totsy to shop at Wally World AKA Wal-Mart? Only hit Tarjay for paper towels? Next time you're in one of those shops, take a walk through their racks and look at their very fashion forward items.

Kat and michelle On your left is actress Kate Beckinsale. She's wearing an up-to-the-minute maxidress with all the right accents. How much do you think she spent on her Susie Rose? $100? $300? $1100? Nope, $15! It's a Wal-Mart exclusive! Yeah, Wal-Mart!

Michelle Obama, or uber-chic first lady is wearing a Merona for Target dress when she and her family went to Arizona for the weekend. The dress cost about $30, and while it's no longer available, Target has other on-point and fashionable clothing.

So please stop thinking that you have to bankrupt yourself to look good. If celebrities are wandering through mass stores like Target, Wal-Mart or Kohl's, what's holding you back? Remember the key to being fashionable is being smart. You can pair up a $12 dress with a $300 bag and look like a million.

Just open your eyes and close your wallet.

Do you have a favorite store? Do you have a great tip on how to look fab without going broke? What's the least you've spent on an item?

Please leave me a comment and let me know!
